I named these earrings Sylvia. They were made by cutting shapes reminiscent of little moons out of a sterling silver sheet , drilling holes for the wire, and soldering on a small circle called a jump ring. I textured the surface with a metal brush. Right now, I am loving textured surfaces – brushed, hammered, dented, distressed.
I then added a long earwire and finished them with a wire-wrapped small blue teardrop bead. This shade of blue reminds me of the cornflower blue crayon. Growing up, that was my favorite color in the box. (Magenta was my second favorite).
